For myself, prayer is an act that requires all of me. It is a laying down, not only of words, but the truth. It is a raw, real, open, honest, visceral, and humbling act of both release and request. Prayer does not have to be pretty and, I find, the messier it is the more powerful and clear the answers are. I sing, dance, chant, write, yell, beg, scream, and cry my prayers. When I pray, I lay it all down! A dear friend told me that She wants my wounding. My experience praying to Jesus taught me the same thing. No matter who you pray to, They want our wounding in exchange for a fruitful and joyous life.
The Prayer Necklace Collection is inspired by various ways people of the world pray. The design resembles malas of India and rosaries of the Catholic Church. The silk knots, each holding a healing prayer, are inspired by the tzitzit on Jewish tallits. Tiger’s Eye is known for its grounding benefits while freshwater pearl symbolizes purity. It can assist in clearing the body and mind in order to receive spiritual guidance. The druzy quartz in raw polished stones may enhance healing of all the bodies; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, while labradorite deepens the psychic connection to Source. Lavender charoite helps to break down the illusion of duality and tune into Unconditional Love while the copper beads support the process of spiritual alchemy. This necklace is a physical manifestation and representation of the belief that we are where Heaven and Earth meet.
